Protection Profiles
The JIWG maintains a library of protection profiles developed by the SOG-IS members. There are three categories (cf. MC PP endorsement procedure, v1.1):
- Recommended PP: PPs that are of interest to all members and might possibly be EU mandated. They are harmonised and recommended by all members to avoid duplication.
- Common use PP: PPs that have been developed by one member state but likely to be of interest to others.
- National PP: National scheme PPs that in principle are only relevant for a specific member state.
A list of the PPs in the first category (Recommended PP) is provided below.

The SSCD PPs developed by CEN have been finally standardised as EN 419211.
Part 1 gives an overview on the Protection Profiles for Secure Signature Creation Device available via the regular distribution path for EN standards or its national translations.

| The PP listed is related to the EU Commission Regulation 1360/2002, Annex I(B) , Appendix 10. This regulation is being replaced by Regulation (EU) 165/2014 of the European Parliament and of the Council with Annex 1C of Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2016/799 of 18 March 2016. The IT security requirements from the new regulation have been covered by a new PP for the Tachograph Card. For the time being this new PP plus the related certification report is available on the website of the BSI Certification Scheme (certification ID: BSI-CC-PP-0091-2017 - https://www.bsi.bund.de). |

| The Vehicle Unit PP listed is related to the EU Commission Regulation 1360/2002, Annex I(B) , Appendix 10. This regulation is being replaced by Regulation (EU) 165/2014 of the European Parliament and of the Council with Annex 1C of Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2016/799 of 18 March 2016.
